Quebec’s first electronics product stewardship publishes Environmental handling fees

ARPE (Association Pour le Recyclage des Produits Electroniques), Quebec’s first electronics product stewardship, published their environmental handling fees for regulated electronics in Quebec. According to the Regulation Respecting the Recovery and Reclamation of Products by Enterprises companies in the IT sector are required to register with the Ministry of Sustainable Development, Environment and Parks and must either create their own take-back programs by July 14, 2012 or join an approved stewardship organization.

ARPE’s fees will become applicable as from October 1, 2012 and the costs per unit are as follows:
